ROBBIEBURNSANEAN SAVOYSICK BLUES

David Graeber in Bob Dylan position at Savoy Steps on Robert Burns Day. David – like myself – always assumed the Dylan video was shot in New York. New Yorkers claim certain alley-ways as the one. But they are mistaken. The biographies all reveal that Savoy Steps is where Dylan shuffled the cards and dealt his own legendary future. It’s a sacred site, different to a home. It’s where an artist – or artists – created an extraordinary and innovative work of art. I’m Ginsberging about in the background.
